Rain was looming the morning of Colleen and Andrew's engagement session at Prospect Park in Brooklyn. I'm happy to say that we beat the rain (yay!) just in time and had so much fun exploring prospect park together before everyone else was awake. We visited the beautiful Prospect Park Boathouse and one of my favorite spots by the LeFrak Center at Lakeside, where all the turtles come out to sunbathe. It's adorable! Colleen and Andrew are the sweetest and so much fun to be around. I absolutely loved getting a chance to spend time with them before their wedding at Brooklyn Winery this Fall. It's going to be so romantic - I cannot wait! Here are some of my favorite images from their gorgeously green engagement session. xo
I'm so incredibly honored to be included in BRIDES curated list of the top NYC Wedding Photographers! What a fantastic list of wedding photographer colleagues, peers and friends to be included along side of. I'm truly thankful and thrilled to be included. Thank you Brides!! xo, Jainé
On a bright Fall morning, I met Cara and Rob at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge for their engagement session. Cara told me over the phone that her and Rob don't really do "casual" so when she showed up in an adorable blush colored tutu, I was super excited! Aren't they the sweetest?
We walked around DUMBO, visited the Brooklyn Bridge before heading over to the Manhattan to end their engagement session in the West Village. The happy couple are getting married in South Carolina and wanted their engagement photos to be in the city where they fell in love. They love to laugh and make each other smile which clearly comes out in their gorgeous photos. I'm so thrilled I could be part of their love story and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
I had such a wonderful time spending the morning with Katie and Jeff for their engagement session in Hoboken. We took full advantage of the beautiful light as we visited a few of their favorite locations in the neighborhood. We walked along Hoboken's piers, stopped at few brownstones and ended on a sweet note at Schnackenberg's, a vintage inspired ice cream shop. The milkshakes are so good! Katie and Jeff are such a sweet couple and were beaming from ear to ear. Seriously, their laughter is contagious! Of course, I was swooning over Katie's super fun Jessica Simpson shoes and Jeff went for a relaxed look in his favorite Vineyard Vines striped blue shirt. I'm so excited to be part of their wedding that's just a few short months away at The Ryland Inn . Hooray!
The warm September sun, specialty cocktails and a sentimental pier in Greenpoint, is what makes Adrienne and Steve's engagement session so special. We visited the same pier where Steve proposed to Adrienne, just a few months prior, to ask her to be his wife. (So sweet!!) Adrienne & Steve constantly make each other laugh, smile and all around happy which is what love is all about. We ended their engagement session at Alameda, one of their favorite places in Brooklyn to stop in for a quick drink or bowl of mussels. It was so much fun spending the afternoon with these two and I'm so excited to photograph their wedding next year. Enjoy!
On a bright sunny morning in Brooklyn Heights, I met up with Claire & Adam again to take a few more photos for their engagement session. They wanted to take a few photos in their new brooklyn neighborhood. The light was dreamy, bright and created the perfect backdrop for a sun-drenched morning engagement session to die for. Could these two be any sweeter?!
